About Us
Allen & Joy were formed in 1991 following the amalgamation of two smaller, long established firms, wishing to combine their individual expertise in works for local authorities and public utilities on the one hand and private clients and restoration works on the other. The company gained various contracts both long and short-term with many diverse clients and, in late 1996, following a significant expansion, they re-located to their present half acre freehold location in central Lewes. In 2003 the company was taken over (although many key staff were retained) and there was a greater emphasis put on the quality and reliability of our client service. Our present location, in the heart of Sussex, allows us to provide a fast and reliable service to our clients. We have built up significant experience in kitchen and bathroom renovations and replacements, disabled adaptations, extensions, and general maintenance for the public and private sectors. We retain a core group of multi-skilled workers many of whom have been with us for over 10 years. Together with our comprehensive Company Health and Safety Policy, we maintain strong links with our Health and Safety Advisors and are members of C.I.T.B. and are approved' contractors with Constructionline. We are also registered with TrustATrader.
