• How much will it cost?

We can give approximate prices for most jobs over the phone, and terms such as daywork rates, call out charges etc are available on request. A visit to provide a firm quotation can normally be arranged within a few days, with a price provided in writing shortly afterwards.

• Can we do it for less?

At estimate stage we try to discuss alternative methods and materials to offer savings on projects where the budget is tight. It is our policy to offer an initial, firm and competitive quote negating the need to discuss reductions.

• Can we do it right away?

We have an emergency service, which can respond on a 24hr, 365days per year basis, to attend to emergency repairs in all trades. Other less urgent matters are dealt with on a priority basis, but we do endeavour to timetable clients wishes into our busy schedules as far as possible.

• Can we provide references?

We are happy to providee references on request, having as we do, an impressive list of satisfied clients.

• Are our employees directly employed?

We have a large workforce of 30 plus employees, directly employed but, as with most companies in our industry, we have a list of approved sub-contractors including Electricians, Heating Engineers, Timber Treatment and Specialist Roofing Contractors with whom we have long associations.

• Are we insured (if so to what value)?

We are full insured to the value of £10 million.

• Do our workers provide identification?

All our workers carry with them an identification card with their photograph and contact details to allow verification of their identity.

• What are our payment terms?

Our payment terms are 14 days from date of invoice

• How long will the job take?

At the outset of each job we will supply, on request a job programme or estimate of time on site, detailing each task with a calendar of events for the entire job from start to finish.

• How far are we willing to travel?

Our normal operating area is within a 30 mile radius of Lewes, but we are willing to travel further if requested.

• Can we e-mail information to you?

Yes, any information can be submitted to you by e-mail should you request it.

• What’s the largest value work you quote for?

We are experienced in carrying out works in excess of £½million

• What is the smallest value work your interested in?

We can carry out work from £50 upwards

• Are your workers qualified/trained for the work they do?

The majority of our employees are fully trained i.e. City & Guilds tradesmen, such as bricklayers, plumbers, plasterers and carpenters. Our company training needs are constantly monitored and training provided where necessary.
